The twitter facebook widget is very basic. It actually is fairly limited in it’s functionality. You can send twitter messages easily. You can easily display your latest twitter entry on your profile page, that same twitter badge with your image takes you to your twitter homepage. Your profile and settings are merely links back to your twitter account, it would be better if this was integrated fully into the facebook widget.
You can’t see your list of friends and you can’t send direct messages through facebook. You can’t display your friends or followers. It would also be nice to see which of your twitter friends or followers are also facebook members. I would like to have the option to display anywhere from 1-10 of my latest twitter posts. You can’t display your friends latest twitters on your profile page.
It would be nice to have this additional functionality and I hope to see these features incorporated into the twitter facebook integration in the future. Also worthy of note is the service crashed on us 3 times while testing the link to our twitter page (twitter server reliability issues). The good news is that they have integrated at all. I am sure it will improve. As of this writing about 8,000 people have used twitter in facebook. 
I am confident that they will improve the twitter facebook widget.
UPDATE: The service seems much more reliable and we rarely see the kitty anymore.

How many facebook members use the twitter widget? How many members use other widgets-and what are they? I don’t see anyone with widgets on their profile-so I’m wondering….
The current number of facebook members using the twitter widget is currently:
8,350 total
I would expect to see those numbers surge by a large multiplier in the coming month (s), even with it’s lightweight integration.
Additionally, the number of facebook users with widgets is somewhere over 1 million i would guess conservatively. Facebook does not bring the process to the front easily for how to find and add widgets.
theres a major problem w/ this twitter widget, everyone i’ve talked to has had no luck in getting it to appear in their profiles, myself included. they really need to fix this thing, cuz its useless as it is right now.
works fine, except it’d be great if it integrated with the facebook status
How do I get it to show on my profile once I’ve added it? Let me know if you have any ideas here. Thanks!
