Book Reviews on facebook with Amazon - facebook Widget Review

This facebook Book Review widget came really fast and there were only about 100 people using it when we reviewed it… So we know it is in early development and will only get better. We had anticipated that there would be a book review widget on facebook quickly.
The Book Reviews widget on facebook is very nice! It is extremely intuitive and easy to use and you will be writing reviews like a fiend once you see how easy and useful it is. 
You can search for and review any book by simply by typing in the author or title or the book ISDN number. It returns the book listing and you simply write your review and rate the book 1-5 stars or you can also mark it as “Currently Reading” which is pretty nice.
You can easily see which of your friends have written reviews on books. You can see which other facebook members have written book reviews through the book reviews widget. This is a neat way to find out about other people that you might have a common interest with. This is very interesting (and compelling) since on Amazon you really have no context for the reviewer and don’t know anything about them.
Your book reviews will instantly show up in your mini feed and you can also display your book reviews on your profile page which makes it easy to see what books your friends have read or are reading and what they thought of them.
You also can see how many reviews are from facebook and Amazon and what the average rating is on each service. You can also click a link and instantly purchase the book on Amazon. (it would be nice to have this more integrated instead of taking me to Amazon). Give this book review widget application a try on facebook, you will not be disappointed!

If you like this Book review app, you should check out one I wrote which is very similar for CDs: CDs app.
Incidentally, I also wrote a Books app which has many of the same features, but a different interface and look/feel that some users might prefer over this one. It’s currently more popular than the Amazon one as well: Books app.
this app is NOT written by amazon! it was done by a facebook developer to try to get amazon on board for the platform launch, but there was no approval whatsoever from amazon’s side. please adjust this review appropriately lest amazon’s legal squadron strike upon you.
