We have been users of Slide.com for nearly a year and are big fans of their service. We were very curious to see how good of an integration that they we would do with facebook as we had high expectations. They did not disappoint, they have gone far beyond just a standard photo widget with extensive account integration & syncronization as well as many options. When we added the application we were able to instantly have all of our existing photo slide shows auto magically appear in our facebook account. It couldn’t be any easier.

Adding the widget was a snap and we had several options to choose when we started which are all pretty self explanatory. The level of customization of your widget is nearly limitless. They offer a wide variety of styles, skins, themes, animations, as well as being able to add text to the slideshow. You can literally spend an evening trying out all the cool ways that you can customize. But realistically you can have a slideshow produced, skinned and ready to go in about 2 minutes.

You also easily select from all of your slideshows which ones you want to show on your profile page. You can also easily invite your friends to start using the slideshow application with 2 clicks. Nice!

Your friends can see all of your slideshows and visa versa. This is a drawback and I wish that there was more control on privacy here. I reliably suspect that they will be addressing these issues in the near future. When you are actually in your slide account (not in facebook) you can upload pics from flickr, facebook, photobucket, etc…

The style, theme and skins editor is easy to use with lot’s of options for customizing the look and feel of your widget quickly and easily. Have fun here and get creative!

Your slideshows ad they are shown on your profile page. Simply click on the arrow in the middle and the slideshow begins.

When you update a slideshow your mini-feed reflects that you have recently made changes. There is also a link under your profile image to all of your slideshows.
