Rating: Hot or Not is one of those crazy social applications of the modern online world. We put it squarely in the “just for fun” catagory… perfect for killing time. Hey, who can resist rating people? “The fastest way to find hotties on facebook”. This application on facebook is sure to please all the fans of Hot or Not.

You can look at people’s pictures based upon their sex or their network, and then rate them 1-10 based on their hotness. You can also see their facebook profile as well. The application also tracks who you rated a 10, it also tracks and displays your friends vote total and overall hotness rating. A cool feature is that you can invite your friends to rate you.

You have a scoreboard page where you can see how hot your friends were rated. You can also sort by your network (Silicon Valley for example), men only, women only or men & women. You can also see who you rated a 10 so that when you are totally bored you can go stalk the profiles of the people you rated Hot. The application is very straight forward and easy to use, the user interface is very intuitive. They have done a fiarly nice job of fully integrating the application right into facebook and you can put your pic up to be rated on your profile page.

Rating people is anonymous with this facebook application, so no one ever knows that you gave them a 2 rating, whew! This is already a very popular facebook application with almost 800,00 users.
