Facebook RSS Feeds by RSS Book Rating: ★★★½☆ Getting your RSS feeds from Blogs, News Sources & Podcasts is something that we have wanted since day 1 with facebook. The Feeds application by Alloyfish is a nice software application that easily allows you to add rss feeds to your facebook profile page. You can also see what rss feeds your friends have subscribed to as well (this could use some improvements in the design, it feels a bit clunky). They also have a directory of feeds that is alphabetized for perusal. They are going to have to add a search feature here; as there is far too much to look at.

This is an easy way to get your main rss feeds from blogs that are important to you; into the facebook profile page. You can easily add a blog feed by typing in the rss feed location. You can also see all of the content of a subscribed rss feed by double clicking on it. This will open the entire feed content with all the headlines. You can then drill down another level and see more and eventually go to the main site where the feed content resides if that is what you choose to do.

You can’t change the order in which your feeds display, nor can you choose which rss feeds to display on your facebook profile page. We also noticed that you had to click on the link several times to get the display to pop open to display more content. Other than these minor nuances, this is a drop dead easy way to add rss feeds to your facebook profile page.

You can get the rss feeds application for facebook here.

This is the app I’ve been looking for, but I can’t find it on the applications page. Is there a link that I’ve missed?

Is there a way to add an RSS Feed to a Group?

YES! I’d LOVE to have a way to add RSS feeds to a Group page.

This application doesn’t deserve 3.5 stars. It should show the full content of several of your posts in an attractive form that doesn’t require you to click on javascript expanding elements. It’s useless as it is. I tried to put the feed of my Clippings (favorite items that come through my feedreader) from NetNewsWire on my facebook profile, and it’s completely unobvious that this content is even available on my profile.
