Rating: If you are a twitter fan and have never heard of Jaiku, this is your wake up call. I have been using Jaiku for about 2 months and find it very useful. Jaiku is what I would refer to as a mini-blogging platform. The really nice thing about Jaiku is that people can comment on your posts. We have seen lot’s of interaction with what Jaiku is doing with this commenting functionality. It feels a bit more like a conversation between friends and reads like a conversational thread.

With this Jaiku facebook application you can post your Jaiku presence to your Profile. You can view your friends’ streams from within Facebook (but the navigation to get there is clunky). The Jaiku integration with facebook is moderately easy to use, and all of your posts and status changes show up in your mini feed. The status changes and posts use those really cool looking jaiku icons.

The shortcoming of this application is that it does allow you to merely post from within facebook, this is a major hassle to deal with. The navigation is a bit clunky, and there is a disconnect between my facebook and jaiku friends. I have to go all the way back to the application page in facebook itself to actually see which friends on facebook have this application. Why? I have no idea. Other thank these issues, this is a pretty nice application for Jaiku Fans. This is not an official application from Jaiku.
