I have been looking at this new application that allows users to get The Daily Show Clips on Facebook. This is an interesting facebook application (not from Comedy Central) from several perspectives. It is from the people behind Daily Show News Blog. It is effectively and application that mashes up the rss feed from the Comedy Central Daily Show feed and then embeds the video. It brings a whole new level to re-purposing content. I am not sure what Comedy Central thinks of this, I am sure they will weigh in eventually. I like it.

It is a very simple and straight forward application. The video’s are short 2-4 minute clips, which is a good fix for a short dose of The Daily Show. I see a list of about 13 clips that I can watch at any time, very nice. It displays a list of links of which Daily Show videos that I watched on my profile page. I can also share individual show information by sharing a link.

The really nice thing is that I never have to leave facebook to consume this content. That fact alone makes this an application worthy of using; it adds efficiency to my life.

The application would be better if I could actually comment on any video that I watched and see what comments my friends published. I would like to see what my friends watched as well. I am assured by the developers that they will be adding more features soon. According to the developers: “We’ll improve the navigation, add in posts from DailyShowNews.com, let people post comments to clips”.
