If you are a firefox user and a facebook fan, then you have to get this facebook toolbar. As a general rule I am very particular about what toolbars I add to my firefox browser. In order for me to add a toolbar application it has to do the following things: alert me, engage me, allow me to share & make the use of an application easier. Luckily the Firefox Facebook Tool Bar does all that and then some.
With The Facebook Tollbar you can easily:
-Search multiple areas of facebook quickly
-Get notified when you have new mail, pokes, group invites, friend requests, etc
-Share any page you happen to be browsing through a facebook link. Nice.
I wonder when new functionality will be available for third party apps? For example, I might want some of my new applications to have some alert capacity on the toolbar… For now this is not an option, but I am sure some developers will come up with firefox plugin solutions for this.
The feature I like best is the popup notifications that happen when changes have been made by my friends or someone writes on someones wall. The lower right corner of your screen has this smooth un-obtrusive popup that stays open for about 5 seconds and then disappears. I can click on it to take me to the appropriate location where the change occurred. Cool.
