SnapVine Facebook App Allows People to Leave Voice Comments

Snapvine allows you to leave a voice greeting message on your profile page. Exchange Voice Comments with your Facebook friends directly on your profile page. It’s like a wall post, but more useful because you use your own voice.
It’s free and you can use any phone. People can also leave you voice comments and those comments can be displayed on your profile page. If you want certain messages to be private you have that ability as well. You can also see which of your friends have new comments and listen to them as well.
The really nice thing about this application is that you can record the voice comments via a telephone line or via a mic or from your webcam. Very nice options. This application is very easy to use and nicely integrated to facebook. You have the ability to record a welcome greeting which i think is very cool, it puts a voice to a face; which humanizes you just a bit more.
If you are already a snapvine user you can easily bring your account info directly over to facebook. If you are not a member, no worries. It sets you account up automatically. 
The voice recoding quality was just about average, not super crisp and clear, but still pretty decent. You can place the application in either the left or right column on your profile page, but the voice recording option does not work in the left column.
Another problem with this application profile display is that there is a portion in the middle that I can’t eliminate, and the the record button is hugely obnoxious. They could tighten up the display a little, it is just a bit real estate hungry.
I like the fact that I can easily share any comment that I find particularly interesting via a share button. Nice
I really wish I could have that cool looking Snapvine voice player in my profile page, but i can’t. Other than that, we really like this application and I like to see the merging of facebook, voice and telephony technologies. If you want to have recorded voice audio & comments on your facebook profile then i suggest you try the snapvine facebook application

Snapvine is so pathetic I find it hard to zero in on a particular weakness, so let’s start with the most obvious one: no unique competitive advantage people! None, at all! It’s comical reading what the original VCs plus their angels said when they raised their first round. No, I’m not going to take the time to dig up that link and provide it here. Frankly it’d be a waste of your time. But if you’re in the mood to see some of the most bizarre babble about revolutionizing communications, read that, then go to Snapvine and listen to the inane crap people post there.
