During the week we feature more serious reviews and content that is focused on looking at useful facebook applications and relevant business issues. So we have decided to add a lighthearted piece on Friday’s called “Facebook Funny Friday’s”. These Funny Friday blog posts will review applications that are for pure fun and entertainment. At the end of the week you have worked hard and deserve a little fun to kick off your weekend.

This “I Kick You” facebook application from PictoGame is really great. It allows you to actually put your friends profile image into the game and kick them. You then get to see them fly in the air and it measure the distance that they fly. Viola, your friend is in a video game. Cool & Very Fun. When we first saw this application we could not stop laughing and were rolling on the floor. This is the first facebook application that incited uncontrolled laughter. Thats rare on facebook.

The user interface is intuitive and easy to use. This application is very viral in nature and can become addicting. It has my stats of who I kicked and how far they flew in the air (thanks to my friends for being good sports: Dave McClure, Tinu Abayomi-Paul and Ian Swanson). I only kick people I like, and know that they have a keen sense of humor.

You can also add a personal note to the person who you kicked. I can also see who kicked me. I puts your female friends in a dress and guys in pants. The best part of this application is the video playback. You can watch your kicks over and over.

This is an entertaining use of layering the social graph of facebook into an application. I talk a lot about engagement of applications, this application has it in spades. The more you play the better you get at kicking.

- Pick one of your friend’s pic, and in three clicks you’ll be ready to kick!
- See who you kicked and who treated you badly in return.
- Finally, challenge your friends to send them even further!

My friends that I kicked also thought the game was very fun. I recommend playing late Friday as you will play this for quite a while. So who you gonna kick tonight: your drinking buddy, your boss, your ex, your brother? It is all in good fun.
