Facebook Mobile News Alert: This breaking facebook news just released under an hour ago. Facebook Announces Facebook Platform for Mobile at CTIA.
Facebook Platform for Mobile enables any of Facebook’s 80,000 developers to extend their applications to work with mobile phones. Facebook users may opt-in to sending and receiving text messages from applications, or interact with applications on Facebook’s mobile site in a similar manner as they have already done on Facebook.
Also today, Research In Motion (RIM) launched Facebook® for BlackBerry® Smartphones. The application leverages the push-based BlackBerry system architecture and Facebook Platform to create an unparalleled mobile experience for Facebook users.
This move by Facebook is great news as many of the developers will now expand their fecebook applications to the mobile space.
