I think Facebook pages are great... makes for an easy way for businesses to communicate with their fans. True, FB should make the pages easier to find, but I like the viral way you can share your favorite pages with your friends... there is no better way to learn about cool places and things.

I've took a look on FB Pages.

I'm wondering, to get what is missing in FB Groups (for instance, notifications), would be possible to move a group there?

The fact that FB Pages should represent "Real Entities" make me afraid that I can't do that...

Facebook needs to improve Facebook Page discovery I think. I'm not sure whether I've seen a "XYZ became a Fan of ABC" story in my main Newsfeed just yet.

Facebook business pages are free, and can there really not be a directory/way to search for 'em?!
http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=8431870131

And, why would they be the end of FB Groups?

Since Facebook hasn't provided a directory, is anyone creating a directory of facebook pages yet (like on a wiki page)?

Rodney,

The new Facebook pages feature does look cool and work good (I just created one for GuestBook) but doesn't it seem pretty much the marriage of a new profile, their Ad Pro feature, and ad tracking statistics and reporting? Is this the signal of the end of FB groups?
