Organize Your Facebook Friends: Well Santa made his friends list and checked it twice. He came early and brought me the thing I wanted most from facebook. He brought a way to organize my facebook contacts into lists. This is very valuable and was much needed. Facebook has created “Friends Lists” functionality.
You can create contact lists and add people to them. This is a tedious task but something that will provide huge benefits to me in terms of organizing my life and communication on facebook. This is your holiday assignment: organize your friends now. The benefits are huge. You can also send messages to up to 1 group at a time.
Some tips for organizing your contacts on facebook. Think in terms of projects, friendships, communication efficiency, tasks, shared experiences, groups, commonality, etc. This will make it more efficient when you want to find the people that are relevant that you want to communicate to. People can reside in multiple lists. More facebook friend organizing tips in a future post.
The next thing facebook needs to do is allow privacy controls for my friends.

I like this friend organizing thing, but I’d like to be able to see a list of all of the friends that I have not yet assigned to at least one group… Have you seen any apps that help visualize or organize your friend ‘groups’?
