Compare People is a not so new app from Chainn that allows you to compare friends with one another. It random selects individuals from your friend list and asks you to choose things like “Who smells better?”

The app serves no real function other than to aimlessly compare people. Sadly, this seems to be the direction many Facebook apps are going: the way of uselessness.

But let’s not discredit it entirely it does manage to pull off some sort of entertainment value, even if its heavy on the schadenfreude. Plus there is an undeniable level of vanity satisfaction at looking at your ranking and seeing that 100% of your friends would rather kiss, sex and/or date you. Mainly because these rankings are absolute validations of one’s awesomeness.

So, to summarize, there is absolutely no substance here, but if you’re looking for a sadistic distraction from, I don’t know, whatever it is you do, then Compare People ranks about even with watching Judge Judy.
