Hungry for lit? Visit Facebook Visual Bookshelf

Now that forced invites are out of the way, Facebook Platform can get down to real business like sharing your favorite books with friends. Visual Bookshelf, created by Hungry Machine, is an app that allows users to input every book they’ve ever read. Your friends can then see your catalog and marvel at your literariness (aka the size of your brain).
The app can import books from your Amazon wishlist and LibraryThing, or, if for some reason, you’re in possession of a giant block of ISBNs, you can cut and paste them into the app to be added. Unfortunately, the app is unable to parse books from my current reading list, but I guess that’s OK, because I haven’t read them all yet anyway (but I had to try).

All-in-all, I like what I see here, but I feel that there is a lot of room for improvement — which is just another way of saying that this thing has potential. Sure it’s a little clunky at the moment, but with a little dedication early promise can translate into something excellent.
