owen_van_natta.jpgFacebook’s former COO and current Chief Revenue Office and VP Operations Owen Van Natta will be leaving Facebook to pursue other interests — namely he wants to be in charge of a company. And with Zuckerberg planted firmly at the helm of Facebook, it’s unlikely that Van Natta will move into the role of CEO.

Van Natta has been a key figure in the growth of the company since he joined in 2005. He was instrumental in negotiating Facebook’s initial ad deal with Microsoft and its recent $240 million investment in the social network.

No word on where Van Natta will end up, but wherever it is, he’s still a rich man given the value of his shares of the $15 billion Facebook.
