PC Magazine Predicts Facebook Death Spiral. WTF?

Facebook is in a death spiral according to a recent article that was published on the 20th of this month by PC Magazine. WTF? All I can say is this article has some interesting points regarding leaving facebook; but beyond that the article is written by someone who clearly does not understand how facebook works.
“Facebook’s long, slow, and, for some, sad decline into oblivion has begun… In other instances, Facebook will create an infinite loop of friendliness where there really isn’t any. I’ve had a couple of “pokes” on my page for ages. Someone poked me, I poked them back, and that should be the end of it. But the initial poke remains on my page, so I’m never sure if this is a new poke or a remnant. It’s also hard to delete things like mail, so old messages stick around as if they’re fresh. Everything seems more active than it really is.”
“If all of this doesn’t concern Facebook fans, it should. Any site that needs to resort to creating the illusion of life is clearly heading to a place where this is none.”
The author does not know how to delete a poke or a message??? Knowledge & Credibility about facebook = ZERO. He does not understand the difference between facebook and an application it would appear. Go have a read and a laugh. I predict PC Magazines reporting is in a death spiral.
UPDATE: The writer for of the original clueless article is the editor of PC magazine: Lance Ulanoff.
A writer for the Toronto Globe and Sun agrees that this article is ludicrous.

If he poked someone back and “still saw a poke from the same person”, that means that person poked them again. And there are obvious choices to hide a poke once it’s received if you don’t feel like poking back. Furthermore, the inbox has a set of checkboxes and a delete button, what’s so atypical about that? Seems like the article is lacking credibility.
Also, in reference to the damned quiz apps: “…At the end of the quiz, Facebook encourages you to challenge all your friends to take the quiz…”. Err, no: it’s not facebook, it’s the app developer.
Jeez - who pays these dumbass “Reviews Editors”?
I entirely agree with /your/ prediction Rodney!
Yeah, that piece was filled with not-reasonable things. Equating Facebook with AOL because… they let you remove yourselves from their services? It’s pretty astounding that Lance is the Editor in Chief. My mind? Boggled.
