Zynga Game Network Launches on Facebook

Zynga Game Network Launches Game Center: Zynga is inviting Third-Party Developers to Join its Game Network: Game Center which accesses its Facebook network via an Application Programming Interface (API). Game Center allows developers to tap into the largest aggregated social gaming audience on facebook.
* Reach - Access to 1.4 million daily active users, as well as partner traffic.
* Social features - Friend and game discovery, game feed and chat via Zynga’s proprietary SocialBar.
* Primary branding - The SocialBar is branded with the partner’s logo.
* Easy-to-use - Developers add just a few lines of code.
* Guaranteed traffic - 100% click return.
“Our open network API will let users of our Game Center find new games through their friends and new friends through their games,” said Mark Pincus, CEO, Zynga Game Network. “Our API will be a key bridge uniting game developers, large and small, enabling the creation of a massive connected social channel for new game distribution. This exciting network effect will benefit all our partners.”
Zynga today also announced its initial 14 partner games, some of which include: Big Photo, Fantasy Football, Karma Games & Avatars, Mental Blocks, My Heroes Ability, Oregon Trail, Perfect Warrior, Text Twirl, The Dot Game and Tycoon. These Game Center launch partners join platform partners announced last week including Sierra Online and Bigpoint.com. It is effectively a branded link exchange for apps that live in the social gaming space. This is a nice opportunity to cross promote to like minded gaming app users on social networks. I think this will help to strengthen the overall casual gaming space that has been gaining traction in social networks. With the ongoing limitations to virally spread apps quickly on facebook, this is a nice alternative for casual gaming app owners to gain some additional traction.

Zynga have the WORST customer service I have ever encountered. They have dropped the ball on their BEST app ever, My Heroes Ability, and will not reply to emails asking for the app to be maintained and updated. Today the app is unplayable and I will not be using any Zynga products in the future.
Zynga, you suck! You bought a game you couldnt handle and left it to rot. You killed the best game ever, my heroes ability!

from what i saw the only games from zynga that have social network is My Hero Ability. Maybe we only have like 38000 ppl daily online playing this games not as many as poker or other games. but to be honest i think the numbers is more than that lots of people quitin the games coz theres no updates anymore n lags. the 38000 ppl who online today has already have its own community beside facebook (no other games can do this). there wont be player from other zynga games try to save zynga games like we were tryin to save My Hero Ability.
In MHA player mind My Hero ability is even better then facebook itself
Zynga likes to promote every article that comes out about social gaming. The fact is that they do not support it. The company has proved this time and time again. The worst part about this article is the relationship it highlights between Zynga and Facebook. Zynga has been horrible at placing blame on Facebook for their own shortcomings. Notice that any error in a Zynga application states that they, with Facebook, are working on the problem. I think FB should drop all contracts with this dishonest, Fly-By-Night gaming group.

Zynga, in my opinion, is a pretty terrible company, and their games are all the same. Its all “Mafia Wars” clones which aren’t original, nor do they really foster social interaction. Poker is OK, and My Heroes Ability was AWESOME (until they gave up on it).. but seriously.. theres a difference between social gaming, and an application where a bunch of people input data.. MHA had it right.. Mafia Wars is the pits.. really hope they come to their senses and realize what they had with MHA and FIX it.
