Facebook quietly adds Updates tab

Facebook released a small update recently that allows groups and pages to send updates to users. The “Updates” alert appears just above the status bar.
An updates tab has also been added to the inbox. This is a nice move as it helps to delineate massive group messages from direct friend messages.

This has definitely been around for at least a month or two! It doesn’t show up on the homepage until you receive an update though.
