plink-logo.jpgI’ve been staring at Plink for about a week now and I have to say that I’m still completely and utterly befuddled. Even after several transactions with company founder Chris Guerra, I cannot for the life of me figure out what this thing is supposed to do — and, believe me, I’ve tried.

As far as I can tell, and I’ve been looking really hard, this is just a hip re-branding of the photo service offered natively by Facebook. Users post pictures and tag them to share with friends. It sounds familiar. Very familiar.

Maybe there is some potential here that I’m completely missing, because Plink sure does look pretty, I just can’t really discern what it does. So I’m extending an open invitation to Chris Guerra to come and explain the functionality of his app, how it’s unique and why people should use it.

In the meantime, I’m withholding my rating. We’ll follow-up on this one as it develops.
