Facebook Roundtable Discussions Pull Developers CloserFacebook Pulls Developers Closer with Roundtable Discussions. Facebook has done quite an amazing job at enticing developers to build applications on their platform. That is great for launch and te ensuing 7 months that ensued since the launch of F8.

Taking it to the next level and learning to listen more effectively and participate more intimately is the next step. Facebook has just announced that they will be holding round table discussions with developers at their Palo Alto HQ.

Facebook will be holding monthly meetings. These meetings will include a small group of hand selected developers for each meeting. I would imagine that they are trying to hand select the group so that they can have intelligent discussions with developers that effect a large number of users.

Each month will cover a new topic for the facebook roundtable discussions. The first discussion will include the forthcoming new changes to the profile page design and how apps can interact. If you are interested in attending a roundtable, please email roundtable@facebook.com with the following information:

* Relevant Contact Info (Name, Email, Phone #, etc)
* Title, Company
* Application Canvas Page URLs
* Number of Active Users
* A short paragraph describing why you think you could add value to the discussion

I hope that they keep a structured meeting agenda for these discussions and find a way to allow the open flow of ideas, challenges and new concepts. Providing notes of the items discussed and the outcomes for the rest of the developer community would be a great way to spread the communication even further.
