Zuckerberg Interviewer Denies Train Wreck:

So the blogosphere is abuzz about the SXSW interview keynote with facebook CEO mark Zuckerberg. By many accounts this was a huge disaster and Train Wreck. The interviewer was a woman by the name of Sarah Lacy.

I was in the Twitter Stream live and people were aghast at how poorly the interview was going. She appeared to not fully grasp how important this interview was. You can read all that is being said by going to techmeme. Or here, here, here, here and here.

I think Zuckerberg showed his most human and very funny side in public ever. Nice job Mark!

A few observations from someone who has spoken and presented to large crowds. Be prepared, know your audience and know your subject. Be interested. Don’t make yourself the focus. Ask actual questions.

Sarah was not prepared. She tried to wing it. She tried to get empathy from the crowd. She was way too casual. These are all big mistakes that can and did turn into a train wreck.

She lashes out at twitterers after the interview with a TWIT “seriously screw all you guys. I did my best to ask a range of things.” The problem with this twit is: she didn’t. She had an hour and revealed nothing really new.

Here is the best video. She was interviewed after the SXSW Zuckerberg interview train wreck and not once does she admit she could have done things differently. In fact she starts with a terrible comment about making the mistake of coming to a devloper conference. DUH that is the audience. She again says “You try it. It is not as easy as it looks”. Quit crying, this is the profession you chose, please try to improve or find a new line of work.

She says Mark doesn’t talk about API’s. I am sure he would if you ASKED HIM. Then she says the audience blew it and sxsw will never get a high profile keynote again because the audience behaved badly. YIKES! This woman claims to be a journalist. Not a chance in hell. She has no credibility and I never even knew she existed before today.
