Animoto brings media rich slide shows to Facebook

Animoto has released a Platform version of its up-and-coming Web app. The Facebook version gives installers the ability to create a sort of slide show with their Facebook images. Users can string related pics together and add music. The slides are then customized to move with the beat.
I strongly suspect that these “animotos”, while nothing particularly new in general, will be embraced by the Facebookers who store the brunt of their pictures on the service. One app user writes, “This is a fun and powerful tool. It took my photos to another level. Much props to the developers and designers behind this one.” And that seems to be pretty much the consensus among the other users as well.
