Send Photo Tweets with Twitpic

I send mobile photos to facebook easily with their iPhone app and I wanted the same functionality for twitter. Twitter does not allow payloads (attachments), but the next best thing is Twitpic.
Twitpic allows you to easily send a photo with a link to your photo into twitter. All you do is take the picture file and email it to your custom email address that they assign you. You add the text content in the subject line and send it.
Like magic it shows up on twitter with a tiny url embedded to the picture file on twitpic and the content of your subject line is your tweet. The other nice thing about twitpic is that the page where they host your image. You can add tags to the photo also. they also show how many time the photo has been viewed. People can also comment on the photo and those comments show up as a @ reply to the original sender on twitter.
Simple, sweet and elegant. This is what I look for in a service that allows me to send content from a mobile device.
You can also send photos from your desktop as well. One other nice feature that is that you have a unique url for all of your photo uploads. Mine is http://twitpic.com/photos/rumford You can also subscribe to an RSS feed of all of my photo uploads. Twitpics also works with the popular twitter desktop twitter client thwirl.
I wish they allowed users to create badges for their blogs or that they had a way to see all of your friends twitpics in 1 place. Other than that I love this service and suggest you give it a try.
Unique twitpic page with a mobile uploaded photo

My public photo uploads page: also has rss feed subscribe mechanism.

Thanks for the write up on Twitpic.
Just wanted to give you a heads up to let you know that we are working on a twitpic badge that you can put on your site to display your photos.
Thanks again.
