Blippr = Radically Short Reviews for Movies, Books, Games and Music.
Blippr Rating:

Blippr launched in private a beta a few months back and look pretty solid as a fun way to write 160 character reviews. This past weekend I had the opportunity to use their newly launched facebook application. I am very impressed at the ease of use and easy navigation for the facebook application.
You can easily search for, find and Blip (review) any of the 4 types of media: Movies, Books, Games or Music.
I really like the short review limit of 160 characters. It makes the review process feel like twitter. In fact while talking with their Co Founder Jonathan Cottrell he told me that they will be rolling a twitter integration forward in the next few weeks. (video interview with the co founders coming soon)
I think this will be really cool as my blipps will show up in twitter with a link back to the review page. Sweet!
You can write reviews (blips) either on their website or the facebook application and the 2 are completely in sync and your blips show up in both places. The seamless integration was painless to tie the accounts together by simply telling the facebook app my email address that I had used on blippr. It also provides an interesting way to gather recommendations for these media types from your friends.
I will say that it has many features that make it quite social and fun to use. I also noticed while using the app that it can be quite addicting and that I found myself spending over and hour and a half using blippr. I can write reviws of media types really quickly and found myself writing about a dozen really quickly. It does have that twitter like addicting quality to it. You can also have followers which is similar to twitter. I really like the blipstream which is a cool way to see what everyone is blipping.
Under the hood there is also a very unique recommendations engine. The more I blip the more accurate it appears to get in delivering recommendations to me. Also worthy of note for developers is their public API.
You will find this facebook app highly addicting and useful. Additionally, readers of facereviews can get into the currently private invite only website beta by going here. Anyone can currently use the facebook application.
