Imagine all of the opportunities that await companies that can create and execute a unique and compelling experience for the iPhone. The possibilities are almost limitless. The 3G phone is “one of the most amazing products I’ve ever had the privilege to be associated with,” Jobs told a capacity crowd of 5,000 software developers and reporters. Faster better and cheaper means 1 thing: There will be more iPhones consuming information and providing a greater audience and bigger opportunities for brands.
The interesting thing about iPhone is that users tend to show applications to their friends on a very regular basis and effectively become brand ambassadors. Much in the same way that apple’s iTunes store featured and helped to distribute podcasts; we will see this same behavior for apple iPhone apps store. You can see some of the latest iPhone apps here.
Apple will soon launch the App Store (within a few months) and this will provide another distribution point for brands. Unique ways to interact, share and consume information are now possible via the iPhone. We have listed below some of the first apps for the iPhone that are being launched.
