Who Has More Blog Buzz? Twitter vs. Facebook
Published by Rodney Rumford August 26th, 2008 in Facebook, twitter.Twitter vs. Facebook Who Has More Blog Buzz? Well we think we have the answers. According to Nielsen Buzz Metrics they are saying that facebook does… but for how long?
What is really interesting to note here is the increased velocity of the buzz in the blogosphere about twitter. This obviously makes sense as a lot of the early adopters of twitter are themselves bloggers; and it only stands to reason that they would blog about a micro-blogging platform.
While twitter is gaining users and blog buzz it has yet to cross the ~4 million user mark while facebook just crossed the 100 million user mark today. The micro-blogging format popularized by twitter is here to stay and is not a fad. Twitter enables a new form of communication; the use cases for which are still rapidly evolving.

Interesting statistics. It could be that Facebook may continue to trump twitter for some considerable time to come if the stats over at techcrunch are anything to go by

Interesting stuff Mike. I wish twitter would be more transparent on actual number of users and usage. This gives us more interesting stats to ponder.
It’s interesting how the peaks and valleys are starting to have a strong correlation now, where before there was little if any. I wonder what that means as far as being considered mainstream for Twitter.
