And the Facebook Fb Fund Finalists Are?
Published by Rodney Rumford September 24th, 2008 in Facebook.More than 600 people/developers have entered the latest round for the facebook fb fund. Facebook should be reviewing the videos, plans, applications and announcing the finalist any day now.
In some ways I wish I had the job of looking over 600+ ideas for applications. This is an arduous task for sure. They clearly defined the criteria for what they wanted to see in the way of submissions and types of applications.
I will keep you posted when the 25 finalists are announced. We are already past the date when facebook said they would announce the winners. We are excited to see what they think the future of facepook applications should be based upon who they choose in this contest. It will be very telling for how they want to direct and drive the facebook developer community.

We are also anxiously awaiting the results of the fbFund Finalists announcement. A few friends and I created the AutoTagger, a tool for assisting you in tagging your photos. Soon we hope to add face recognition to the app, but for now it uses face detection and some good guesswork to significantly speed up the photo tagging process.
