Top iPhone Social Applications: We test a lot of iPhone applications in the social space and try to determine which are the most useful for people that want to stay connected to social networks while living a mobile lifestyle. What is important is application reliability, ease of navigation, functionality and user experience. Trying to replicate the web social experience on a small mobile screen has extreme challenges.

User expect a rich experience on the iPhone and their demands and expectations of these applications is increasing. It is interesting to note that some major social networks are missing from these lists (Linked In, Bebo, Hi5, friendfeed, etc.). It will only be a matter of time before they have applications to meet build up demand for access to these social networks via an iPhone.

Apple just released a Top 10 list of both paid and unpaid applications for use in the social space on iTunes. The following applications are listed by order of people that have downloaded these apps. Apple does not release specific number of downloads or daily usage or engagement time analytics.
